My Assignment to Japan
This is a picture of me and Mount Fuji. Our driver pulled off on the side of the road and had us all get out to take our picture in the road with Fuji-San (12,388 ft) behind us. I have no idea what the locals thought of this busload of about 40 people jumping off the bus and taking a photo-op. Fuji-San is not usually this viewable - it is usually shrouded in clouds . We had a lucky day according to the driver and guide. There is a Japanese saying about climbing Mt. Fuji - "Everyone should climb Mt. Fuji once; but, only a fool would climb it twice." Personally, after hearing the horror stories of folks who did climb it - thanks, but no thanks.
