| Our driver pulled off on the side of the road and had us all get out to take our picture in the road with Fuji-San (12,388 ft) behind us. I have no idea what the locals thought of this busload of about 40 people jumping off the bus and taking a photo-op. Fuji-San is not usually this viewable - it is usually shrouded in clouds . We had a lucky day according to the driver and guide. There is a Japanese saying about climbing Mt. Fuji - "Everyone should climb Mt. Fuji once; but, only a fool would climb it twice." Personally, after hearing the horror stories of folks who did climb it - thanks, but no thanks. |
